A total of 268 aspiring soldiers completed their 16-week pre-entry basic military training under the Candidate Soldier Course (CSC) Class 804-2026 during a closing ceremony held at Camp O’Donnell in Capas, Tarlac, on July 15, 2026.
The newly trained troops formally concluded their training as part of the Philippine Army’s continuing efforts to develop disciplined, capable, and mission-ready personnel.
In his keynote address, Initial Military Training Group (IMTG) Commander Col. Jacob Thaddeus M. Obligado commended the graduates for their perseverance, discipline, and commitment throughout the demanding course.
Obligado reminded the newly minted soldiers that completing the training marks the beginning of their responsibility to serve the Filipino people with honor, professionalism, and dedication.
The rigorous training program focused on enhancing physical fitness, mental resilience, and character development, aligned with the Philippine Army’s transformation roadmap.
Through the Candidate Soldier Course, the Philippine Army aims to recruit and develop individuals equipped with the skills, values, and readiness needed to defend the nation and serve communities.
