Two men were killed after being shot by riding-in-tandem suspects while inside a white vehicle at the corner of EDSA and Timog Avenue in Quezon City on Wednesday afternoon.
According to a report from Super Radyo dzBB, a witness said the victims’ vehicle was blocked before two unidentified motorcycle-riding suspects opened fire at around 3 p.m.
Police recovered several empty shells at the scene, believed to be from a .45 caliber firearm, indicating the possible weapon used in the attack.
The suspects fled toward the Cubao area, leaving the victims critically wounded inside the vehicle.
Both victims were rushed to East Avenue Medical Center. The driver was declared dead at around 5 p.m., while his companion, who initially underwent surgery, later also died from his injuries.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the motive and identify those responsible for the shooting.
