A fire hit a residential area along NIA Road in Barangay Pinyahan, Quezon City early Thursday, April 30, briefly reaching the third alarm before being brought under control.

According to reports, the blaze broke out in the early hours of the morning and escalated rapidly, prompting firefighters to respond as nearby homes in the densely populated area were threatened.

Authorities said the fire reached the third alarm at around 1:22 a.m. and was declared under control shortly after. It was fully extinguished by around 1:57 a.m.

No immediate reports of casualties, injuries, or the extent of property damage were released.

Residents were alarmed by the fast-spreading fire, with some evacuating their homes as responders worked to contain the blaze.

The Bureau of Fire Protection has yet to determine the cause of the incident, with an investigation ongoing.

The latest fire has raised concerns among residents, coming amid repeated incidents in the area and underscoring the need for stricter fire safety measures.

Authorities continue to remind the public to remain vigilant and observe proper precautions to prevent similar incidents.
