Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go denied any wrongdoing and dismissed reports of an alleged International Criminal Court (ICC) warrant for his arrest, saying he has not committed any crime that would justify legal action against him.
“I am leaving everything to God. I have never violated any law of man or God in my entire life,” Go said in a statement in Filipino.
He questioned the reports, saying police matters were not within his mandate and expressing concern that the issue may be politicized.
“I hope and pray that this supposed ICC warrant against me is not being politicized,” he added.
Go also assured his supporters that he will continue performing his duties as senator.
“I will not put to waste the trust that 27 million Filipinos have bestowed on me. Rest assured that I will continue to serve, because that is what the Filipino people need right now,” he said.
