The Philippine Navy and the Royal Thai Navy have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen maritime cooperation during the 14th Philippine Navy–Royal Thai Navy Navy-to-Navy Talks held in Bangkok, Thailand.
The talks, held from June 23 to 26, 2026, served as a platform for both navies to discuss areas of mutual interest, promote professional exchanges, and identify opportunities for deeper cooperation in support of regional maritime security and stability.
This year’s engagement was co-chaired by Acting Chief of Staff of the Philippine Navy Commodore Edwin M. Nera and the Director of the Office of Policy and Planning of the Naval Operations Department of the Royal Thai Navy Rear Admiral Chakaswat Saiwong.
The periodic talks serve as a key mechanism for strengthening the longstanding relationship between the Philippine Navy and the Royal Thai Navy.
The Philippine Navy said the successful conclusion of the 14th PN–RTN Navy-to-Navy Talks underscored its commitment to building enduring partnerships with regional maritime forces, in line with its vision of becoming a modern, multi-domain, self-reliant, and credible partner.
