The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) said that it will summon Peanut Gallery Media Network (PGMN) host CJ Hirro in relation to the alleged extortion case of the online news portal’s founder Franco Mabanta.
In a video interview posted on the official Facebook page of News5, NBI Director Melvin Matibag said they are still investigating the participation of individuals, including Hirro, in the case involving Mabanta and PGMN.
“Ipapatawag namin siya. We will go through the process. Kung tutuusin base dun sa complaint na ibinigay dapat napasama na siya e. But we want to exercise caution and the NBI wants to follow the rules,” Matibag said.
“Bigyan na natin sila ng mas sobra pa dun sa requirement ng due process para huwag sabihin na pulitika,” he added.
