President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has declared special non-working days in several localities across the country for the celebration of their founding anniversaries, festivals, and other local events.
The proclamations, signed on June 3 by Acting Executive Secretary Ralph Recto by authority of the President, cover areas in Rizal, Albay, Davao del Norte, Cagayan, and San Juan City.
Under Proclamation No. 1287, June 11, 2026 has been declared a special non-working day in the province of Rizal for the celebration of its 125th founding anniversary.
Marcos also issued Proclamation No. 1286 declaring June 24, 2026 a special non-working day in Tabaco City, Albay, in celebration of the Tabak Festival.
In Davao del Norte, June 18, 2026 was declared a special non-working day in New Corella for its founding anniversary through Proclamation No. 1285, while June 26, 2026 was declared a special non-working day in Sawata for the 22nd Araw ng Sawata under Proclamation No. 1283.
The President also declared June 15, 2026 a special non-working day in Camalaniugan, Cagayan, as the municipality marks its 430th founding anniversary under Proclamation No. 1284.
Meanwhile, June 24, 2026 was also declared a special non-working day in San Juan City for the celebration of the Wattah Wattah Festival through Proclamation No. 1282.
