The Philippine National Police (PNP) arrested 10 suspects and seized an estimated P15.48 million worth of suspected illegal drugs in a series of intensified operations across the country from May 20 to early May 21, 2026.
The PNP said the operations were carried out in several regions as part of its continuing campaign against illegal drugs under its Focused Agenda on Enhanced Managing Police Operations.
In Quezon City, police recovered more than 1,500 capsules of suspected ecstasy during a coordinated operation on the afternoon of May 20. The seized drugs were valued at around P2.63 million.
In Iloilo, separate buy-bust operations in Iloilo City and Santa Barbara led to the arrest of two high-value individuals and the confiscation of more than 300 grams of suspected shabu worth approximately P2.38 million.
In Oriental Mindoro, joint police units served search warrants that resulted in the arrest of one suspect and the seizure of more than 750 grams of suspected shabu valued at P4.9 million. Authorities also recovered a firearm and ammunition. Another suspect remains at large and is now the subject of follow-up operations.
In Batangas City, police arrested two high-value individuals in a buy-bust operation and confiscated more than 200 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P1.43 million.
Separate anti-drug operations in Camarines Norte also led to arrests and the recovery of nearly 460 grams of suspected shabu worth about P3.13 million.
In South Cotabato, coordinated police operations resulted in the arrest of suspects and the seizure of around 150 grams of suspected shabu valued at P1.02 million.
The PNP said all confiscated evidence has been turned over to the PNP Forensic Group for laboratory examination, while appropriate charges are being prepared against the arrested individuals.
PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. commended the operating units for their coordination, discipline, and professionalism in carrying out the operations.
“Ang tagumpay ng ating mga operasyon ay patunay ng dedikasyon ng ating mga pulis at ng pakikipagtulungan ng mamamayan. Kasama ang komunidad, tuloy-tuloy ang ating laban kontra ilegal na droga. The PNP will continue to intensify intelligence-driven operations to ensure that illegal drug personalities are arrested and brought before the courts,” Nartatez said.
The PNP said the operations support President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to intensify the campaign against illegal drugs and criminality.
It also reaffirmed its commitment to sustained intelligence-driven operations to protect communities under the vision of “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.”
