Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff General Romeo S. Brawner Jr. on Friday recognized outstanding Special Forces personnel for their exemplary service and dedication during a visit to the 2nd Special Forces “Sabertooth” Battalion at Camp General Servillano Aquino.
The AFP chief personally conferred awards on several troopers in recognition of their professionalism, commitment to duty, and contributions to military operations.
Brawner was joined by Brig. Gen. Eros James Uri, commander of the Special Forces Regiment (Airborne), and Lt. Col. Jerry Jaucian, commanding officer of the 2nd Special Forces Battalion.
In his remarks, Brawner acknowledged the sacrifices and challenges faced by soldiers in the line of duty.
“Hindi madali ang trabaho ng ating mga sundalo. It is a difficult and demanding profession, and we are willing to offer our lives for our country and our people,” he said.
The AFP chief also encouraged the troops to continue taking pride in their service, remain committed to their mission, and stay loyal to the Constitution and the Philippine flag.
The visit formed part of the AFP leadership’s continuing efforts to boost troop morale and recognize excellence among frontline military personnel.
