The Philippine National Police (PNP) stepped up its nationwide campaign against online crimes in April, leading to 104 arrests and the filing of 209 cybercrime cases.

Through its Anti-Cybercrime Group, the PNP conducted entrapment operations and served warrants across the country, resulting in arrests and case referrals for prosecution.

Police also implemented 108 cyber warrants, carried out 2,196 cyber patrol operations, and completed 77 digital forensic examinations. The operations led to the rescue of 19 victims and the conviction of nine offenders, according to official data.

The PNP said the campaign forms part of its broader efforts to strengthen public safety as digital platforms continue to expand.

PNP chief Police General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said cyber threats are evolving alongside technology, requiring sustained and proactive enforcement.

“Sa panahon ngayon na halos lahat ay online, mas pinalalakas natin ang kakayahan ng PNP para protektahan ang publiko laban sa cybercrime,” Nartatez said.

He added that authorities will continue to pursue individuals who misuse technology while ensuring support for victims.

“We remain committed to a secure digital environment. Those who exploit technology to harm others will be held accountable,” he said.

The PNP said it will further enhance its cyber capabilities and coordination with partner agencies to improve response and investigative capacity against emerging online threats.

Authorities also reaffirmed their commitment to sustained operations aimed at making the internet safer for users.
