A delivery rider was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Taguig City for alleged involvement in selling illegal drugs, police said.
The National Capital Region Police Office said the operation stemmed from verified intelligence reports linking the 30-year-old suspect to the distribution of shabu in the area.
Col. Julius Añonuevo, Taguig City police chief, said authorities conducted an entrapment operation that led to the suspect’s arrest in Barangay Ususan.
Police seized suspected shabu worth around P342,000, which will be used as evidence in the filing of charges.
“This operation shows our intensified campaign against illegal drugs. With the support of Mayor Lani Cayetano, we continue to strengthen our operations to keep communities safe and hold violators accountable,” Añonuevo said.
Authorities said the operation forms part of ongoing efforts to target high-value individuals and disrupt illegal drug activities in the city.
