A group of 30 distressed overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) safely returned home from Kuwait, receiving dynamic, immediate support upon their arrival in the Philippines.
The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), operating in tandem with partner government bodies, mobilized airport personnel to provide comprehensive relief services designed to ease the workers’ transition back into the country.
Upon landing at the airport, the repatriated workers received fresh food and drinks, temporary hotel accommodations, direct financial support, and organized onward transportation back to their respective home provinces.
“The repatriation of our Filipino workers continues,” the OWWA said.
OWWA officials reaffirmed their commitment to supporting returned overseas personnel throughout their reintegration process, emphasizing that on-the-ground provisions remain active for workers who face challenging situations abroad.
The agency also said it will explore further intervention programs and financial mechanisms to assist returning migrant workers as they settle back into their local communities.
