DICT Unveils ‘eGovAI’ and ‘Kuya AI’ Assistant to Streamline Public Services on eGovPH App

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) has launched eGovAI, integrating artificial intelligence tools directly into the eGovPH Super App to modernise public service delivery and cut administrative bureaucracy.

A central highlight of the new deployment is “Kuya AI,” a virtual government assistant created to provide immediate guidance to citizens and government personnel.

Embedded into the eGovPH Super App, eGovAI assists users in accessing public records, navigating agency procedures, and carrying out digital transactions. The upgraded system also incorporates AI-driven tools for identity verification, automated document handling, real-time translation and task automation.

According to the DICT, introducing artificial intelligence into government systems moves beyond a mere technical upgrade, serving as an actionable approach to enhancing public services.

“The eGovAI marked another important step in our continuing effort to make government work better for every Filipino. We are bringing AI into the eGovernment ecosystem not simply as a technological innovation, but as a tool to make public services more responsive, accessible and efficient,” the DICT said.

For government offices, the automated architecture is expected to accelerate routine workflows and boost operational capacity. For the public, embedding AI into the mobile application aims to simplify access to government resources and reduce friction during routine official transactions.

The rollout forms part of the DICT’s broader goal to build a secure, digitalized and user-friendly government ecosystem that leverages emerging technologies to make public interactions faster and more convenient for Filipinos nationwide.
