Muntinlupa City Offices Told to Put Residents First in 2027 Budget

  • July 9, 2026

Mayor Ruffy Biazon has ordered city department heads to ensure that every peso under Muntinlupa’s proposed 2027 budget translates into direct and measurable benefits for residents.

Biazon laid down the city government’s budget priorities during the FY 2027 Budget Forum, which was attended by heads of various local government offices.

The mayor said the city’s spending plan should focus on programs and services that directly improve the lives of Muntinlupeños, instead of being weighed down by internal government expenses.

He also directed city offices to avoid unnecessary or excessive spending and to make sure that every proposed program has a clear impact on the community.

Biazon said the local government will continue prioritizing healthcare, education, and expanded social services as part of its development agenda.

Guided by a people-centered and “Muntinlupeño First” budgeting approach, the city government aims to craft a 2027 spending plan that responds to residents’ needs while promoting more inclusive, efficient, and responsive public service.
