The Philippine Navy contingent participating in the Rim of the Pacific Exercise 2026 joined the celebration of the 250th Independence Day of the United States on July 4.
BRP Miguel Malvar (FFG6), along with vessels from other RIMPAC participating nations, displayed its colors in full-dress ship while docked at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii as a tribute to the occasion.
The Philippine Navy said its participation in the activity reflects its commitment to strengthening international defense ties and deepening cooperation with allied and partner navies.
It added that engagements such as this help reinforce partnerships beyond operational exercises and support broader defense cooperation among participating nations.
