PAL Expands North America Flights To Vancouver, Toronto, and New York

Philippine Airlines is expanding its North American network with additional nonstop flights to Vancouver, Toronto, and New York as part of efforts to offer passengers more travel options and strengthen connectivity between the Philippines, Canada, the United States, and Southeast Asia.

Beginning late 2026, PAL will increase its Manila–Vancouver flights from seven to 10 weekly services starting November 17. Manila–Toronto flights will rise from three to four weekly services beginning December 5, while Manila–New York JFK flights will increase from three to four weekly services starting December 2.

PAL said a fifth weekly Manila–New York flight will also be added during the peak December 2026 to January 2027 holiday travel season.

The additional flights are expected to further strengthen PAL’s position in the Philippines–North America market and reinforce its role as the Southeast Asian carrier operating the most nonstop flights between the two regions.

“North America continues to be one of Philippine Airlines’ most important markets,” PAL President Richard Nuttall said.

“As travel demand grows, these additional flights strengthen our position as the preferred nonstop carrier between the Philippines and North America, whilst providing our customers with greater choice, improved connectivity, and more opportunities to travel, do business, and reconnect with family and loved ones. As the Philippine flag carrier, we remain committed to supporting tourism, trade, and economic ties between the Philippines and our key North American markets,” he added.

PAL said the added North American frequencies will improve connectivity through Manila to key Southeast Asian destinations, including Jakarta, Bali, Phnom Penh, Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Hanoi.

The airline said its partnerships with American Airlines, Alaska Airlines, and WestJet will also allow passengers to access seamless onward connections to various destinations across the United States and Canada.

The expanded schedule is likewise expected to provide additional cargo capacity to support growing trade, e-commerce, and high-value shipments across the Pacific.

PAL said the additional Toronto and New York services will initially be operated using the Airbus A350-900 before transitioning to the airline’s new Airbus A350-1000 as more aircraft join its fleet.

The A350-1000 will also begin serving San Francisco in August 2026, offering more premium seating and further strengthening PAL’s competitiveness on the U.S. West Coast.

The expanded North American schedule, along with the launch of thrice-weekly Manila–Chicago flights beginning November 9, 2026, forms part of PAL’s long-term network growth strategy to position Manila as a premier gateway between North America and Southeast Asia.

PAL currently operates scheduled nonstop flights from its hubs in Manila and Cebu to 29 destinations across the Philippines and 40 destinations in Asia, North America, Australia, and the Middle East.
