Converge Assures SKY Cable Deal Still in Force Amid Split Reports

Converge ICT Solutions Inc. on Monday said its commercial arrangement with SKY Cable Corp. remains “in full force and effect,” assuring customers that services will continue amid reports that the partnership had ended.

In a statement, Converge said its existing agreement with SKY Cable continues without interruption, stressing its commitment to delivering reliable broadband and digital connectivity services to Filipino households.

SKY Cable also moved to reassure its subscribers that they will continue to receive support and services despite recent developments.

“SKY assures its subscribers that they will continue to be supported and there will be no changes in the services that are provided to them,” the company said.

SKY Cable and Converge entered into their network-sharing partnership on July 22, 2024, with the goal of significantly improving internet speeds and service reliability for subscribers.

Under the deal, SKY Cable leverages Converge’s extensive digital infrastructure, described as the largest fiber-to-the-home network in the Philippines, with a fiber footprint spanning more than 896,000 kilometers.

SKY Cable discontinued its direct-to-home satellite television service in August 2020 following the expiration and non-renewal of its legislative franchise. Since then, the company has shifted its core business strategy toward expanding its broadband subscriber base.

The strategy has continued to support the business, with SKY Cable generating P571 million in revenue for the three months ending March 2026.
