Ten foreign nationals were apprehended in simultaneous operations across Siargao Island on June 26 as part of a joint intelligence-driven law enforcement effort by military and immigration authorities.
The operation was carried out by Joint Task Force Sinaya, in coordination with Joint Task Force Diamond and the Bureau of Immigration, Regional Intelligence Operations Unit Mindanao.
Authorities said those apprehended included four Israeli nationals, two Chinese nationals, one Moroccan, one Lithuanian, one Australian, and one Nigerian national.
Following the operation, the foreign nationals were placed under the custody of the General Luna Municipal Police Station for documentation and processing.
They are scheduled to be transported to Manila, where they will be brought to the Bureau of Immigration Warden Facility in Taguig City pending appropriate legal and immigration proceedings.
Authorities said the operation highlighted the importance of inter-agency coordination in enforcing Philippine laws, strengthening border and immigration security, and maintaining public order in local communities.
The Philippine Navy, through Naval Forces Eastern Mindanao and JTF Sinaya, said it remains committed to supporting intelligence and law enforcement initiatives that contribute to national security and the safety of communities within its area of responsibility.
