A fire broke out at the Olympic Heights Tower 3 condominium in Eastwood, Barangay Bagumbayan, Quezon City, on Thursday morning.
According to Fire Senior Superintendent Roberto Samillano Jr., District Fire Marshal of the Quezon City Fire District, the blaze was raised to the first alarm at around 6:53 a.m. after it was initially reported as a rubbish fire.
Residents were immediately evacuated as a safety precaution due to thick smoke that spread throughout the building.
Firefighters conducted floor-by-floor inspections to ensure that no residents were left behind or trapped inside the condominium.
Fire crews worked quickly to put out the flames while authorities continued investigating the cause of the fire.
At around 9:28 a.m., the fire was declared under control. No injuries or fatalities were reported, while authorities continued assessing the extent of the damage caused by the incident.
