The International Criminal Court (ICC) has ordered a medical examination for former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte and appointed a panel of three independent medical experts to conduct the assessment, according to a court-related report.
The panel has been instructed to submit its findings by August 18, 2026, with the report to be formally filed before the court by August 24, 2026.
The ICC also directed all parties involved in the proceedings to refrain from any contact with the expert panel while the examination and evaluation process is ongoing, to ensure independence and integrity of the review.
