The Philippine National Police (PNP) has arrested a 42-year-old man listed as the No. 1 most wanted person in Central Visayas during a coordinated operation in Pasig City.
The suspect, a Filipino male, was arrested on the evening of June 10, 2026, by police operatives serving a warrant of arrest for murder. Authorities said the court recommended no bail in the case.
The operation was carried out by police tracking units in coordination with local police personnel, reflecting strengthened coordination among PNP units across regional lines.
PNP Chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. commended the operating units for the successful arrest, saying the operation showed the police force’s continuing drive to locate and bring wanted persons before the courts.
“Patuloy nating paiigtingin ang ating mga operasyon laban sa mga most wanted persons. This accomplishment shows that our police force remains focused, coordinated, and determined to serve justice. Sa PNP, walang puwang ang pagtatago sa batas,” Nartatez said.
He said the PNP will continue intensifying coordination among police units nationwide to ensure that individuals facing serious criminal charges are tracked down and made to answer before the law.
The PNP said the arrest forms part of its sustained intelligence-driven operations against wanted persons and other threats to public safety.
It added that the campaign is aligned with efforts to strengthen law enforcement response, maintain peace and order, and uphold the rule of law in communities across the country.
