Several areas in the CAA district of Las Piñas City were flooded after heavy rains brought by a severe thunderstorm later the past week, causing difficulties for motorists and residents.
According to reports from local authorities, floodwaters reached beyond gutter-deep levels along portions of CAA Road and J. Tionquiao Street, making it challenging for some vehicles to pass through the affected areas.
Videos taken during the flooding showed motorists carefully navigating the submerged roads as continuous rainfall caused water levels to rise in several parts of the community.
The flooding came after hours of intense and uninterrupted rainfall triggered by a severe thunderstorm that affected Las Piñas and nearby areas. Aside from CAA Road and J. Tionquiao Street, other sections of the CAA district also experienced flooding, with water levels reaching up to gutter-deep in some locations.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation and remind residents and motorists to exercise caution when traveling through flood-prone areas, especially during periods of heavy rainfall.
The information was reported by local authorities monitoring conditions in the affected areas.
