21-Day Bayabas Street Closure Starts for Road Rehab in Taguig

  • Mervin Reyes
  • Metro
  • June 8, 2026

Motorists passing through Barangay Western Bicutan in Taguig City are advised to expect traffic adjustments as a portion of Bayabas Street will be temporarily closed beginning June 8, 2026.

The road closure will last for 21 days to give way to the Department of Public Works and Highways’ Bayabas Extension Road Rehabilitation Project.

To ease traffic disruption and maintain access to nearby establishments and connecting roads, local authorities have implemented a temporary rerouting scheme for the duration of the construction work.

Under the traffic plan, motorists may use Champaca Street and a designated section of Bayabas Street, which will temporarily operate as a two-way lane to accommodate vehicles passing through the area.

Authorities reminded drivers to observe traffic signs, follow the instructions of traffic personnel, and allot extra travel time when passing through Western Bicutan while roadworks are ongoing.

The rehabilitation project is expected to improve road conditions and mobility in the area once completed.

Officials also appealed for patience and cooperation from the public as construction activities continue over the next three weeks.
